Privacy Policy
Appercat Pte. Ltd. ("Appercat," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Singapore (UEN: 202609805H), operates the Diveena mobile application ("Diveena" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
By using Diveena, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Diveena is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location.
1.1 Palm Photos
When you use Diveena's palm reading feature, the App captures a photo of your palm using your device's camera. When you request a palm reading, the image of your palm is transmitted to our secure server and sent to OpenAI, a third-party artificial intelligence service, solely to generate your reading. We do not use these images for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than producing your reading, and we never sell them. We do not store your palm images on our own servers after your reading is generated. OpenAI may retain them temporarily to monitor for misuse, after which they are deleted. Your palm images are not used to train OpenAI's models.
Diveena also allows you to scan another person's palm to generate a reading for them. When you do, that image is processed by OpenAI in the same way as your own. You are responsible for ensuring you have that person's permission before scanning their palm.
1.2 Device Identifier
Diveena generates a random, anonymous device identifier when you first open the App. This identifier is stored on our cloud server solely to enforce usage limits (one palm reading per device; a limited number of friend scans per month). When you receive a palm reading, your reading results and archetype are also stored on our server alongside this identifier so that your reading can be restored to your device if you reinstall the App. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
1.3 Data Stored on Your Device
Your palm reading results, archetype, focus selection, friend profiles, notification preferences, and other App settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. With the exception of your reading results and archetype — a copy of which is also retained on our server with your anonymous device identifier solely to restore your reading if you reinstall the App (see Section 1.2) — and anonymous reading-outcome data shared with our analytics provider (see Section 1.4), this data does not leave your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Your focus selection is transmitted to our server only to generate your reading and is not retained there. Uninstalling the App removes the data stored on your device.
1.4 Analytics and Crash Reporting
We use third-party analytics and crash reporting services to understand how the App is used and to identify and fix technical issues. These services collect anonymous usage data such as which features you interact with, how often you open the App, your device type, operating system version, and crash logs. This includes anonymous reading-outcome data: the archetype the App assigns and the general palm-line categories (for example, line depth or shape descriptors) that produced it, which we use to monitor and improve reading quality. This data contains no palm photos, is aggregated, and cannot be used to identify you personally. We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) for these purposes. Google's use of data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites ('How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services').
1.5 Advertising Data
Diveena displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Our advertising provider may collect device advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID), ad interaction data, and general device information to serve relevant ads. You can limit ad personalization through your device settings (see Section 6). Google's use of advertising data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
1.6 Subscription Data
If you subscribe to Diveena Premium, your subscription is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. This provider receives an anonymous identifier linked to your device, your subscription status, and purchase history. It does not receive your name, email, or payment details — those are handled directly by Apple or Google.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- To provide the palm reading service (processing your palm photo via AI)
- To enforce fair usage limits (device identifier)
- To manage your subscription status
- To display advertisements
- To understand App usage patterns and improve the App
- To identify and fix crashes and bugs
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your palm photo for any purpose other than generating your reading.
3. Third-Party Services
Diveena relies on the following categories of third-party services to operate. Each is governed by its own privacy policy.
- OpenAI — processes palm photos to generate readings. OpenAI does not retain your data beyond temporary processing for safety and abuse monitoring, and does not use your data to train its models.
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — collects anonymous usage data and crash reports to help us improve the App.
- Google AdMob — serves ads within the App and may collect advertising identifiers and interaction data.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status and purchase history using anonymous device identifiers.
- Cloudflare — hosts our server and stores anonymous device identifiers for usage limits.
- Apple / Google — process payments for subscriptions. See their respective privacy policies.
4. Data Retention
- Palm photos: Not stored on our servers after your reading is generated. OpenAI may retain data temporarily for safety and abuse monitoring purposes.
- Device identifier: Retained on our server for as long as the App is in operation, to maintain usage limits.
- On-device data: Retained on your device until you uninstall the App or clear the App's data.
- Analytics data: Retained by our analytics provider according to their standard retention periods.
- Subscription data: Retained by our subscription management provider and Apple/Google according to their respective retention policies.
5. Children's Privacy
Diveena is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, please contact us at the address below, and we will take steps to remove any associated data.
6. Your Rights and Choices
All Users
- Camera access: You can revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings. The App requires camera access only to capture your palm photo.
- Notifications: You can enable or disable notifications in the App's settings or through your device settings.
- Ad personalization: You can limit ad tracking through your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Delete local data: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data, including your reading, archetype, and preferences.
- Subscription: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
European Economic Area (EEA) Residents — GDPR
If you are located in the EEA, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Right of access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Our legal basis for processing data is legitimate interest (providing and improving the App), consent (camera access, notifications, and ad personalization where applicable), and contractual necessity (processing subscriptions).

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act provides you with the following rights:
- Right to know: You may request information about the categories of personal information we collect and how we use it.
- Right to delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected.

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of information: device identifiers, usage data, and advertising identifiers. We have not sold personal information to third parties.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including using encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission and storing server-side data with reputable cloud providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Data Transfers
Appercat is based in Singapore. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, through our third-party service providers. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries. We ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the App where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
