Privacy Policy

Effective Date: [LAUNCH DATE] · Last Updated: [LAUNCH DATE]

Appercat Pte. Ltd. ("Appercat," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Singapore (UEN: 202609805H), operates the Diveena mobile application ("Diveena" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

By using Diveena, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Diveena is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location.

1.1 Palm Photos

When you use Diveena's palm reading feature, the App captures a photo of your palm using your device's camera. This photo is transmitted to our secure server and processed by a third-party artificial intelligence service to generate your reading. The photo is used solely to generate your palm reading and is not stored on our servers after processing is complete. Our AI provider does not use your data to train their models.

If you use the friend scan feature, photos of your friend's palm are processed in the same manner.

1.2 Device Identifier

Diveena generates a random, anonymous device identifier when you first open the App. This identifier is stored on our cloud server solely to enforce usage limits (one palm reading per device; a limited number of friend scans per month). This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.

1.3 Data Stored on Your Device

Your palm reading results, archetype, focus selection, friend profiles, notification preferences, and other App settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data does not leave your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Uninstalling the App removes this data.

1.4 Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use third-party analytics and crash reporting services to understand how the App is used and to identify and fix technical issues. These services collect anonymous usage data such as which features you interact with, how often you open the App, your device type, operating system version, and crash logs. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

1.5 Advertising Data

Diveena displays advertisements through a third-party advertising provider. Our advertising provider may collect device advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID), ad interaction data, and general device information to serve relevant ads. You can limit ad personalization through your device settings (see Section 6).

1.6 Subscription Data

If you subscribe to Diveena Premium, your subscription is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through our subscription management provider. This provider receives an anonymous identifier linked to your device, your subscription status, and purchase history. It does not receive your name, email, or payment details — those are handled directly by Apple or Google.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your palm photo for any purpose other than generating your reading.

3. Third-Party Services

Diveena relies on the following categories of third-party services to operate. Each is governed by its own privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

5. Children's Privacy

Diveena is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, please contact us at the address below, and we will take steps to remove any associated data.

6. Your Rights and Choices

All Users

European Economic Area (EEA) Residents — GDPR

If you are located in the EEA, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

Because Diveena does not require accounts and collects minimal identifying information, we may need you to provide your device identifier to locate any data associated with your device. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@appercat.org.

Our legal basis for processing data is legitimate interest (providing and improving the App), consent (camera access, notifications, and ad personalization where applicable), and contractual necessity (processing subscriptions).

California Residents — CCPA

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act provides you with the following rights:

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@appercat.org.

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of information: device identifiers, usage data, and advertising identifiers. We have not sold personal information to third parties.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including using encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission and storing server-side data with reputable cloud providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

Appercat is based in Singapore. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, through our third-party service providers. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries. We ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the App where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
